This document describes the rules for processing personal data in connection with the use of the Price Ring service, including the rules governing consent-based analytics and marketing activities.
1. Data Controller
The controller of personal data processed in connection with the use of the Price Ring service is Bluewom Ltd., with its registered office at 103 Blundell Avenue, DN35 7RH Cleethorpes, United Kingdom, Company Number 09300458 (the “Controller”).

2. Who and what data we process
We process data relating to individuals who:
- visit the Service and use the price comparison tool,
- activate a Price Alert by providing an e-mail address,
- subscribe to the Newsletter,
- contact us by e-mail or via contact forms,
- represent Online Stores or Affiliated Entities.
The scope of data may include, in particular:
- an e-mail address, provided for the purpose of using the Price Alert or Newsletter,
- data relating to use of the Service, e.g. products viewed and price alert settings,
- technical data, such as IP address, cookie identifiers, and information about the browser and device,
- data voluntarily provided in correspondence with the Controller.
3. Purposes and legal bases for processing
We process personal data primarily for the following purposes:
- provision of the Service, including price comparison and the Price Alert, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR,
- sending the Newsletter, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent),
- ensuring security, detecting abuse, and protecting against unauthorised access to the Service, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR,
- defending against claims and pursuing claims, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR,
- fulfilling legal obligations, including tax and accounting obligations, pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) GDPR,
- contacting Users and handling enquiries, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR, depending on the nature of the contact,
- analysing traffic on the Service using Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, solely upon consent to analytics cookies, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR,
- measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and remarketing using Google Ads and Meta Pixel, solely upon consent to marketing cookies, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
4. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads, and Meta Pixel
We use Google Analytics to measure traffic on the Service. This feature is only activated upon consent to analytics cookies.
We use Microsoft Clarity to analyse User behaviour and improve the usability of the Service. This tool is only activated upon consent to analytics cookies.
We also use Google Ads and Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to carry out remarketing activities. These features are only activated upon consent to marketing cookies.
These tools may process, in particular: pages and subpages visited within the Service, interactions with Offers, pseudonymous browser or device identifiers, and technical information about the device and browser.
Google LLC, Microsoft Corporation, and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. act as independent controllers or service providers within the meaning of their own respective privacy policies and may process data in accordance with those policies. Detailed information regarding data processing by Google, Microsoft, and Meta can be found in the privacy policies of those entities.
You may withdraw your consent to analytics and marketing cookies at any time by changing your cookie preferences in the Service. Withdrawal of consent takes effect for the future.
5. Recipients of data
Data may be disclosed to entities that support us in operating the Service, in particular:
- hosting, infrastructure, and IT service providers,
- e-mail and communication service providers, including for sending Price Alerts and the Newsletter,
- providers of analytics and advertising tools, including Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads), Microsoft (Microsoft Clarity), and Meta,
- affiliate partners and Affiliated Entities, to the extent necessary to carry out referrals and affiliate settlements,
- providers of accounting, payment, or legal advisory services, where necessary,
- competent public authorities, where required by law.
Where a User navigates to an Online Store via an Affiliate Link, technical information necessary to settle the affiliate cooperation may be transmitted, such as a click identifier, referral source, or campaign identifier.
6. Transfers of data outside the EEA
The Controller is established in the United Kingdom, outside the European Economic Area. With respect to transfers of data between the United Kingdom and the EEA, we apply the safeguards required by applicable law, including adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
Some of the providers we use, including Google, Microsoft, and Meta, may rely on infrastructure or supporting entities located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. In such cases, we apply the safeguards required by law, including standard contractual clauses or other permissible data transfer mechanisms.
7. Data retention period
- Price Alert data is retained for the duration of the service, until the User cancels it or until the Operator ceases to provide it,
- Newsletter data is retained until the User unsubscribes,
- accounting and settlement data is retained for the period required by law,
- data relating to security, logs, and the pursuit of claims is retained for as long as necessary to protect the Service and to pursue or defend claims,
- analytics and marketing data is retained for the period resulting from the configuration of Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Ads, and Meta Pixel, and our internal retention policy,
- evidence of the granting or withdrawal of consent is retained until claims become time-barred.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and obtain a copy of it,
- rectify your data,
- erase your data, where the conditions under the GDPR are met,
- restrict processing,
- data portability, where processing is based on a contract or consent,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal,
- lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for data protection competent for your place of residence.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy in connection with changes in the law, the functionality of the Service, or our service providers. The current version is always published in the Service together with its effective date.
